Ocular surgery is the medical name for eye surgery; it is performed by ophthalmologists or general surgeons. This surgery is done on the eye muscles or on the eyes to counter any kind of major eye problems, either topical anesthesia or local anesthesia is given in the extra-ocular muscles. The most common eye surgery option is the cataract eye surgery. This is done to rectify opacification of the lens, which is caused due to any kind of trauma or old age.
